Understanding Starts Here | Kindred Family Connection | Austin, TX
Kindred Family Connection
With almost a decade of experience as an early childhood educator, I have seen the full emotional landscape children move through every single day. The emotional climate can shift from sunny to stormy in seconds, leaving caregivers asking why.
Kindred Family Connection, based in Austin, Texas, is here to help answer that question, through understanding what is happening inside your child’s developing brain and nervous system.
Who is this for?
Kindred Family Connection parent coaching is for any caregiver who wants to understand their child more deeply, not fix them. If you have ever felt confused, overwhelmed, or simply curious about why your child does what they do, you are in the right place.
Ways I can support you
Every coaching relationship is unique. These are some of the areas we can dive into, alone or in combination, based on what you and your child need most
Demystifying Child Development
Understanding your child’s development is not just about knowing what milestones to expect. It is about understanding the why behind them and the how of supporting them. We make development accessible, practical, and genuinely useful.
Understanding the Developing Brain
Your child’s brain is a work in progress and that is a beautiful thing. Here we explore three major parts of the brain, what they do, and how understanding them can transform the way you see your child’s behavior and emotional world. Other topics may include brain first aid, neurodiversity, and promoting wellness through social-emotional development.
Decoding the Nervous System
Co-regulation starts with you. This topic is about learning to tune inward, to recognize your own nervous-system states and responses, and to use that awareness to support your child. We cover attachment, co-regulation do’s and don’ts, and how understanding your own nervous system makes you a more connected caregiver.
Seeing Behavior as Communication
Behavior is communication. The Behavior Iceberg is a framework for looking beneath the surface of challenging behaviors to understand what your child is really expressing and how to respond with compassion and clarity instead of reaction. This is non-clinical, non-shaming, and rooted in connection.
Extending Learning and Social-Emotional Development
Children learn everywhere and you are your child’s first and most important teacher. This topic is about extending your child’s learning, curiosity, and social-emotional growth beyond the classroom and building your confidence as the caregiver who makes it possible.
The solution to adult problems tomorrow depends on large measure upon how our children grow up today

FAQs
Is this therapy?
No. Kindred Family Connection is a coaching-based practice, not a clinical or therapeutic service. If you or your child need mental health support, I will always encourage you to seek that care and if you choose coaching can complement it.
Do I need to bring my child to sessions?
No. Sessions are for you, the caregiver. We talk about your child, your experience, and your relationship together, but your child does not need to be present unless we specifically plan a family session.
What ages do you focus on?
My background is rooted in early childhood, and for good reason. The earliest years of a child’s life are foundational in ways that ripple forward into everything that comes after. Research consistently shows that the experiences and patterns formed in early childhood shape how children learn, connect, and navigate the world as they grow. That means the developmental understanding we build together stays relevant and useful no matter how old your child is now. If you are curious whether this is a good fit, please schedule a consultation.
What if I do not know what I need?
That is exactly what the discovery call is for! You do not need to come with a clear question or a specific problem. I am here to support you in your growing needs, we can figure out together where to start.
Nobody has ever before asked the nuclear family to live all by itself in a box the way we do. With no relatives, no support, we’ve put it in an impossible situation.
